Humble Hobbie

This week i’m gonna write about my hobbie. I enjoy drawing since I had memory but when I was 8 years old I took it like a part of my life. It all begun with the Extra-programmatic activities of my school. There was one among them who captivated me: Comic Club. Every Saturday i arrived religiously to my Comic class at thirty past ten in the morning (10:30 - AM) no matter what the weather was. I learned so many things like shadowing objects, motions, emotions and clothes details who glared me that drawing becomes a central piece of my existence.

I’m still had the habit of draw even if I don’t bring my sketch book. Every classmate who ever sat close to me in every class, whether it’s amusing or boring, could testify that i love incorporate draws on my notebooks. Sometimes related with the class subject, sometimes with random thing that i concibe.
I couldn`t say that the meaning of my hobbie evolved. It still is a reflection of things that i consider beautiful, situations that i like to live (or avoid) and poetic-like representations. It surprises me the fact that it still helps me to perceive me like a talentous guy. The only thing that evolved was my technique that i percive it was too basic when i was 6, 9, 12 or even 15. I’m really proud of myself how much i improved.

Drawing is also very therapeutical for me.  Something sad’s summer semmester had took a great piece of my attention so I leave it abandoned. I’m really excited to finish the academic debt and recover the drawing time.
Finally I’ll list my favourites to draw: Mythological beings, specially Harpies and Minotaurs, People with stylish clothes, Adventure items like bagpacks, swords, and gems and Imaginary beings of my mind (like

Super Ivetto haha :D)
This is one of my curret artworks :D

People can learn about environment practices ib their work, finding press articles, magazines and another kind of attractive media and also they can met person really involved with the issue.

Yeah, i internalizated recycle habits in my life. Actually i love JGM recyling containers beacuse they stimulated me to recycle more, specially glass. Glass beacuse my little brother was burnt when he was a baby and COANIQUEM always invited people to recycle glass to help burnt children. So, that’s why glass is my main option.

I’m not really a bycicle-type person because i have an childhood trauma which involves bycicles and vehicles accdidents, so, i actually don’t do anything to offset the problem. Neiher the relative about using a car.

I never participated in a environment supporting organization beacuse i too shy to defend a cause that society despects so much. I’m not really good dealing with a frustration like that.

I’ve done little things to reduce my carbon print but at least it’s something: reduce the flushes in my house and recycle glass and paper. I think i could do more.

I think Santiago really fails in the environment caring because its missing the integration of all its communes. I mean, it doesn’t exist equality among them, specially in economic terms and we don’t progress in this problem.

What else can I do for envioronment? I guess i can difuse the message about incorporate containers in the neighbourhoods and making comics or publicity to make people realise about how the planet need our help.

A different professional version of me

In the case I didn’t choose study psychology i’d chosen Translation. I `ve always loved the languages and dreamed about being a polyglot. I’m still interested in learn many foreings languages, but now like a hobby. They really motivate me.

That's my alternative dream, but I'd have better haircut (and shirt)

So… why didn’t I just study that? Because I really don’t know what place i would choose for this proyect, so, i think this constituted disadvantage to this option. But, the main reason is that I think contents wouldn’t satisface me as much as psychology’s does.  I mean, of course I have some talent in the linguistic things, but they don’t passionate me like psychology does. Just think psychoanalisys and help people to move on in their lives (open their heart, their minds, free them of their childhood traumas, etc.) excite me way more than just transalte documents and assist to conferences. This doesn’t means that i didn’t realised of the disadvantages of being psychologist but considerating the pro’s and the contra’s psychology fits me better.
I’m proud of my resolution. If it’s right that maybe i won’t travel as much i can like an ambassador (that would be an alternative expression of the languages skills). And sometimes i still imagine this alternative. I think it’d be very pleasant watch the diversity of cultures, explore different cities and know a lot about japanese, frech, english and portuguese (my favourites cultures and their respectives languages). But i think i also travel there in vacations or in a master degree – trip. So I just say I didn’t quit to languages. And I Won’t.

What to do with a degree in psychology?

Does the psychologists prefer to join laboral world as soon as possible? We’ll take a little ride for three specific factors to understand the reality of current Psychology formation and what getting an academic degree means:

Skills I Gained
Psychologist have the skills one can expect of humanist formation: critical thinking and essay writing. But, the currents psychologist go depeer than the classic Social Studies. Now they’re trained to work with stadistics to aply in investigations as quantitative as qualitative data.
Careers I can Persue
There are different areas of psychology: occupational, educational, clinical, forensic or sports. And also can work at scientific reasearch, which involves different possibilities like academic or market research. But a reduced number of current psychologist work in just one of them becauce in laboral world the competivity is rising daily. So, the psychologists are able to asume different roles (they were prepared to be flexible) to confront this situation.
Why study a Postgrade?
There are many reasons to get a Psotgrade: Maybe you want to improve your status as psychoterapist, polish up a specific skill related with your speciality or maybe you want to validate this career like a complement for another career (like pedagogy or marketing).

"The attraction, the tension... baby like this is perfection"

I like rock-pop music, pop-punk  and little bit of electropop. So, when i think in may favourite artists the images of Shakira, Avril Lavigne and P!nk comes quickly to head (in that order). They are my top 3 of my mp3 or in other words, my musical world. I like thesestyles beacuse i think these female voices has strenght and delicacy at the same time. But, even most important i really love her lyrics. I love to think that music is a dance-able version of poetry.

And my favourite singer is Shakira. I cant’t believe the way she mixes Methaphores and a powerful vibrato (which has an awide rank) of her voice. In several ocations i felt she read my thoughts, and even better, found a lyrical way to express them. I think this is priceless.
Nobody introduces me to Shakira. I began to follow her work after she recorded “Hips dont’t lie” one of the most sucessful hits of her entire career. When i listened  I couln’t believe i didn’t realised how good she was and how i can’t ignore her early career. Since then i become and i’m still being a devote fan.
